What is Aquathlon?

Aquathlon is a multisport race consisting of elements of continuous running and swimming. Competitors complete a swim immediately followed by a run of varying distances in a continuous swim and run event.

Who can take part?

  1. All registered TFNM (Triathlon Federation of North Macedonia) athletes, club members, and all recreational athletes who wish to compete. Participation is at one’s own responsibility and all participants sign a statement to that effect, their parents/guardians do it on behalf of the children.
  2. COMPETITORS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM WITHOUT SWIMMING AID and should be able to confidently swim the distance for their age group (see table Categories by generations).
  3. We want to encourage as many people as possible to participate in the competition, but we as organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to participants who we consider do not meet the necessary conditions.

What will I need on the day of the competition?

  1. All participants will need a bathing suit, optional goggles, and a towel. For the running part, they will need a t-shirt and training/running shoes.
  2. No one competing in the Aquathlon may wear jewelry.

On the day…

  1. Competitors will need to arrive on time for registration, where they will receive an electronic bracelet and will be marked with a felt-tip pen.
  2. All competitors will receive a medal at the end of the race.
  3. All results/rankings of the competitors for each age group will be available on the website of our official match meter Tag timing Macedonia.
