*Participating in the races which are part of the “Peshtani Extreme Vertical” event includes unconditional agreement to the terms, as well as to all of the instructions determined by the race Organiser and Director. Kids’ race is at the participants’ own responsibility; the parent/legal guardian signs a paper of agreement for the child to participate when picking up the starter pack and the Organiser does not take responsibility in case of an accident.
For safety reasons and in order for the race to be conducted without any obstacles, the participants must have suitable equipment. It is important to know that the equipment required by the Organiser is the necessary minimum, but each participant needs to adapt it to their own needs. That is why the Organiser determines a list of recommended equipment that each participant needs to have during the race. It is strictly forbidden to use hiking sticks and any other tool that prevents using both hands.
By paying the registration fee, every runner gets a starter pack. Refund is only possible in case of race cancellation as per the Organiser’s fault. For any other reason (emergency) which can’t be influenced by the Organiser, and that could lead to race cancellation, refund will not be conducted.
Registration of candidates who had been suspended because of doping in any sport will not be accepted.
Starter packs can be picked up in the “Kaj Mestono” restaurant, Peshtani village, from 10 AM – 5:30 PM according to local time on 23.09.2023, and also on the race date (24.09.2023) from 8 AM – 8:30 AM according to local time. The participants who would like to use a drop bag which they’ll need after the finish, can do so when picking up the starter pack, on 23.09.2023.
The largest part of the route runs through rocky areas, earthen paths, and meadows, with 1,150 m D+.
The average track inclination is about 23%, reaching an inclination of 35% – 40% in some parts.

Track for Peshtani Kids’ Trail is approximately 1.7 km long.
The altitude reached in this race is 788m.
There will be 3 refreshment points during the race. One will be located at the start, the second one will be located halfway the race (after 2 km), and the third one at the finish.
The participants will be informed of the weather conditions during the week before the race takes place. Up until then, the conditions on Galichica can be checked by clicking on the button below.
Besides individual participation, team participation is also an option. When filling in the online registration form for each participant, in the “Club/Team Building” field one needs to populate the name of their team or should choose one of the teams already offered (make sure to check – maybe one of your teammates has already added the team name).
IMPORTANT! The team name must be spelled using the Latin alphabet (due to the data processing system) and it must be identical for every member of the same team because the system will not be able to recognise if you’re part of the same team otherwise. For example, if your team name is “Ohrid trcaT”, then each team member should choose the name “Ohrid trcaT” when registering.
If you want your team to be ranked, then your team should consist of at least 3 members. There is no limit for maximum number of runners per team; e.g., if there are 8 runners per team, only the best three times will be taken into consideration when ranking.
Ranking will be conducted in two categories (men/women). The same participant is not allowed to be part of two teams; in that case, that participant will be disqualified from team ranking.
The winner announcement ceremony will start at 2 PM, near the race start point in Peshtani village.
First-place ranked will be rewarded with a medal, diploma, and a flower bouquet, as well as gifts from our supporters.
The three best ranked will be rewarded, both in female and in male competition. The organiser has a reward fund approved, i.e.:
Payment of the reward money will be conducted via bank transaction, 30 days from the race date at the latest.
Beside the money reward, the first-place ranked will be rewarded with a medal, diploma, and a flower bouquet, as well as gifts from our supporters.
There will be team rewards in male and female category accordingly as well, taking into consideration fastest team time. Only teams with 3 competitors minimum will be taken into consideration.
Every participant can quit the race if they face some kind of a problem, and they need to inform a person assigned by the Organiser of their decision. Participants will get back down to Peshtani village after the race ends following a marked route, different from the one on the way up. The route will be clearly marked. It is recommended for participants to group in order to get back down to Peshtani village together. The Organiser will also assign people to join/guide the groups of participants on their way back down to Peshtani village.
Since the race route is traced in the mountains under peculiar geographical conditions, it is almost impossible to cheer the participants along the track. All of the supporters can greet the participants after the race ends in Peshtani village, where the whole ceremony will be held. Still, anyone who’d like to support the competitors will be able to do that at specifically determined points along the track.
The track will be marked with pieces of marking tape. They will be 1 m long and will be positioned every 20 – 30 metres. At some points the track will be marked (limited) from both sides with longer pieces of tape to prevent turning in another direction.
The Organiser retains the right to change these terms at any time if there are valid reasons for a better race organisation. Every change which affects the race key elements will be announced on the event’s official web page.
